This time another sample:
- Arran 1998 – Pineau des Charentes (55%)
This was a sample I got.
With water: cherry, raisins, tobacco, vanilla, herbs, paint
Sweet, raisins, creamy and smooth followed some heat (spices and some vanilla), oranges and caramel. Nice thick legs giving great texture. High complexity!
Long, starts smooth but finishes with heat and tannines
Very nice whisky with deep complexity and long finish.
Score = 90/100
