A lovely shop in an typical old style building close to the Tottenham Courtyard tube station on Oxford street.
A nice selection of whiskies for decent prices, especially for the London area. For me the London trip included buying two nice drams from Glendronach for a good price. Both are from the recent released Batch 14 series and are “PX Sherry Puncheon” finishes:
- 2004 Single Cask, cask no. 5523, 12yo and approx. 7 months, 58.3%
- 2002 Single Cask, cask no. 1504, 14yo and approx. 3 months, 55.5%
2004 cask no. 5523
Deep amber. Warming white pepper and cinnamon combine with sweet dates and sultanas, all infused with hints of ginger and vanilla. Delicious toffee-drenched raisins and dried apricots laced with warm allspice and soft vanilla, all complementing the rich, full finish.
2002 cask no. 5523
Polished cherry wood. Milk chocolate with lively oak spice notes, generous helpings of treacle tart and rich plum compote. A rich, fresh sherry character. Ripe plums and damsons flow to stewed dark fruits, sweetened by dark chocolate and a gentle touch of vanilla.
